From what I am reading it looks like most of the orphanages in the area are okay, though there are a few that still have yet to be contacted, or there situation is "unknown". It saddens my heart.
This is from the BBC this morning: Sichuan's Vice-Governor Li Chengyun said incomplete figures suggested 14,463 people were dead, another 14,051 were missing, 25,788 were buried in the debris and 64,746 had been injured, Xinhua reports.
There are still areas that they have been unable to reach. I hear of mudslides and rocks covering roads into some towns. The Chinese are working very hard to get to these areas.
Let's hope they can get relief to all the people soon! Again my heart goes out to these people, so very far in miles but so very close to my heart.
